New Tanki Online 2.0 demos with hardware acceleration support
Tanki Online developer Alternativa3D took part in Adobe MAX 2011 conference in Los-Angeles. Adobe chose browser-based online game Tanks Online 2.0 (which is now under development) to demonstrate new abilities of Adobe Flash Player 11 in terms of 3D hardware acceleration. Now with Flash Player 11 officially released it is possible to implement any 3D action game right in your browser window!
To show you its new capabilities Alternativa3D launched two demos of its highly appreciated free online game "Tanki Online 2.0". They feature three different tanks on two maps: Crash and Arena (former Sandbox map from current version of Tanki). Both demos support hardware acceleration, so they should run smoothly with high frame rate in any resolution. Just make sure you've got the latest version of Adobe Flash Player and drivers for your video card.
Not all operational systems and video cards are supported yet, but these demos are not final versions of Tanki Online 2.0 in any way. With time Adobe will add video card support, so I believe by the moment Tanki Online 2.0 will be ready to release everything is going to be OK.
